I had a big white trash bag holding 17 bouquets. I was going into Coffee Talk on Marshall Street to enjoy a concert by my friend Annabella Wood. I placed the bag on the pavement and said to a few people walking by that the flowers were free. I smiled and watched as some teenagers came by and said they wanted to take them home to their mothers. In about a minute, the bag was empty.
Earlier on my way to Cherry Hill to Cadbury Nursing Home, I passed a guy asking for money right by the Ben Franklin Bridge. I rolled down my window and said that I did not have money but I could give him a bouquet of flowers. I hope that it made his spirits bloom a little bit.
