I am so grateful to this sweet young couple who have made about 150 magnificent tissue paper flowers for me to take to nursing homes. This week, I made deliveries to four nursing homes in the area and we attached the beautiful creations to the wheelchairs, walkers and to the buttonholes of the ladies’ sweaters.
David and Alicia have told me that they used to spend a lot of time watching television at night but lately they have spent their evenings making flowers and talking….with no television on. Just sort of like therapy……relaxing and a creative outlet for their artistic talents.
Honestly, they are works of art and the residents so appreciate the flowers.
Thank you so much for helping me with this project!
Here is a link to a You Tube video that shows you how to make them with a pack of tissue paper and pipecleaners from the Dollar Store. I have 15 nursing home visits scheduled for March. If anyone would like to make Spring colors for Easter or green and white for Saint Patrick’s Day, I would love to hear from you. A million thanks to all who have helped with this project over the past three years!
