Kids today? They are wonderful – Kol Emet Synagogue Service Project

I am so grateful to the youth group at a synagogue in Yardley. The kids saw that we needed help packaging birdseed for the residents of nursing homes. After asking permission of the activity directors, we invite the residents to go to the door or window located near a grassy area of the property and then toss birdseed. Imagine the thrill of a variety of hungry birds appearing outside for bird-viewing pleasure.

The kids did a great job of attractively packaging pink, purple and white treats for the birds…..and fun for the residents. They also made Mother’s Day Cards and enclosed two bags of chocolate candy. I would say that their teacher is teaching them FAITH IN ACTION.
